  • The slope of the line is 0. Resaon, rise over run. (Y2-Y1/X2-X1) You'll always have a rise that is 0 becasue the equation is never rising.
  • The word "slope" indicates that the line on a two-dimension graph moves in both direction. In other word, when you solve for X by inserting the value indicated by the position of the line as it moves accross the graph, the results will always give a different value. Simply, if the line is horizontal, the slope is zero meaning there is no change in the direction of the line. If the line is vertical the slope is undefined. If X=5 the slope does not exist because we cannot devide by zero.
  • Horizontal, slope = 0, because it is the same Y value for all X.
  • the slope is 0. because that line is just a horizontal line. it doesn't move downwards or upwards. it's just constant.
  • y=-3 just means that any point on the line, the y value will always be -3. So, make a dot on the y-axis at -3. Then pick any point on the x-axis (say 5, for example) and the y will still be -3. So, to sum up all the values for this equation you would just have to draw a line all the way across at y=-3. It would be a flat line, of course, which doesn't tilt at all - That is what they mean by slope. - It doesn't have any slope! Slope=0.
