I am in a stanch republican household,radical right,can't stand the BS I hear about how the dems are wrong for stubbing their toes and blinking their eyes. All politics make me sick.

I used to be a Republican. I'm still a small business owner and if the sane branch of the party still held sway, I'd still be a member. But the far right and authoritarian followers have crowded sanity out of the party platform. Today's right-wing fringe believes that government is terrible at everything and when they get their hands on power, they set about quite successfully to prove just that. They can't be trusted with any real say in the future of our country. I would love to see some alternative emerge, because one-party rule always leads to stagnation and corruption.
