On some women they look great, but some others use the cheap sparkly ones that make them look like drag queens.

I think subtle ones look great, they're just highlighting your assets. Ones that look too fake, or sparkly are just garish.

you have to do a good job of applying them, and get the good kind. whenever i see them they just look overly fake, and i think that's tacky, but if you're going for a really dramatic look it could work. Maybe, say, for a prom or costume party if you wanted to make a big statement. i think you'd have to do them really good to get away with it on a regular day though, and somehow keep it subtle (as if there's anything subtle about fake lashes). I'd stick to mascara.

I don't think that is the issue. I think the issue is - do they make the person wearing them feel better and better able to face the world. It's like make-up, we men don't wear it yet we tend to judge women based on whether/how much/how little they use. We should look at the person, not the appearance of the person.

In my personal opinion, garish. I don't much like makeup and cosmetics in general, and the idea of a woman with little pieces of plastic stuck above her eyes is just about the *Least* "Gorgeous" thing I can imagine.

I like them when they are done modestly. My friends wear them (However I have never) and they look great and very natural. I guess it depends if you get the real big GAWDY ones or nice little natural ones.

In my opinion...they look garish. They give the impression that they are trying too hard to look good, and it looks fake, very unnatural.

It depends. If you can tell they are fake--garish!! If they are too big for their face--garish. If they are only accentuating--gorgeous. Depends on size really.

The best false eyelashes are virtually undetectable. The ones that look false make a woman look garish. Why risk having one drop in your soup anyway? Personally, I like the brush on lash fibers (brushed on prior to mascara and "cling" to lashes making them appear longer and thicker). Those look far more natural and are simpler to apply (oh and won't drop in your soup).

who cares??itscompletely the womans own perogative,some women dye their hair others dont sum shave their legs others wax,who are we to judge?especially straight dressing males..who says women are trying to impress you?, get over yourselves, thats self absorption to the extreme!sometimes women just want to look a certain way, turn the other cheek if you dont agree
