Yes, even a bigger bitch than me. My grandmother has Alzheimers. It sucks to watch a family member deteriorate and I hate that sometimes my grandma looks at me and doesn't even know who I am but that's life and I can do nothing but support her and talk to her about things that spark memory from her past. She likes that. +3

My Dad is 83, he's almost completely blind, wears two hearing aids,and has chronic bronchitis so has a hard time breathing, but at least he still has his mind. He surprises me sometimes with the ideas he comes up with in order to fool his wife. Just be patient with your Dad as his memory will most certainly get worse.

Life can be very cruel, and sometimes it's worse for those of us who are left to care for elderly parents. I'm sorry to hear about your dad.

It is...luckily my dad is 71 and the father in law is 78 and both have their mind and body in tact.....
