I think it is a little of both I know a few old AB has said they have 2 accounts. For the life of me I can't figure out why though

AB has and will always be kind of like a revolving door. People come and go. Quit and come back. It has grown a lot though.
-
That's the way of online communities. People come and go. I'm still quite new here myself.
-
I think it must be growing. I joined as a result of coming across it when I had a computer problem that I needed help with and stayed because it's fun to try to help others in return for the help I received.

People come and go. I've noticed loads of new people to. Since I've come and that hasn't been long, I'd say I'm pretty new myself. The more the merrier I say. There are some real nice people who have come to AB recently to with great opinions.

I think what you've noticed is new users playing around with different names and/or returning users who were gone for a while adopting new personas, for whatever reason. AB has been growing in size and number of users since its inception, and it's been in turbo growth mode since Nov.15th, when AB 4.0 debuted. With one or two exceptions, the active senior Baggers keep their usernames. People who leave sometimes change their names to "Anonymous".

I have a brand new appreciation for how much Answerbag is growing, so I know how confusing all the names can be. Not many of the old users are changing their names, some are leaving and going "Anonymous", some are altering their names by a few characters or making capitalisation changes for the sake of variety. But, believe it or not, most of those new names are actually new people.
