    A watershed is the land between two adjacent water bodies. Generally a watershed is the land between two rivers. If you draw a Y supposing two arms to be two streams, converging to form a bigger stream, then the space between the two arms can be called as watershed. A watershed can be the land between two non converging streams also. But they are very rare.
