A subject in primary school that I would suppose teaches you the art of language. All I remember about it was copying out letters and words and sentences over and over and over in my notebook.
The arts "behind" a language. Grammar, spelling, writing the language, etc.
In elementary school the language arts children learn are reading, English language grammar, writing compositions, and spelling.

Is art school/ a degree in a fine art (painting, sculpture, animation, etc.) necessary to become a painter, sculptor, animator, etc?
