Preschool is a place were young children ages 3-5 go before they start kindergarten, hence it is called Pre(before)school. In most preschools children are taught their colors, shapes, letters, numbers and all sorts of basic educational fundamentals that will lay the ground work for what they will learn in kindergarten. Children also benefit socially by attending preschool.
