It's usually a sign that oil is getting into the cooling system. If you find a white froth around the oil cap that can be a sign that your head casket is failing. I would have a good look around your engine to see if you have developed an oil leak..

Blown head gasket or a cracked head. When you mix oil and water you get a white frothy mixture/cream. It's not a repair that you should put off.
