Help answer this question below.
This is not an answer, but it might pose other questions or comments that may eventually provide a solution. Today I saw a version of "Paint" which is far superior to the version I have installed on my desktop and laptop. It was on my son's Windows Vista desktop. Mine is ancient, like me; it's one I have used for the last 8 or 9 years. It fails in many ways. For instance, the 'paint-pot', "A" Text, 'pencil' and other toolbox facilities just fail when it suits them. Sometimes, everything works, but it will never be anywhere near as good or versatile as the version I saw. I think it is also used with Windows 7. I would like an answer, but can't see a function for asking questions. "Spanish Joe" in Manchester, UK, 23/OCT/2009.
MS Paint really doesn't have any updates. If anything it is updated automaticlly when you upgrade/install a new OS, (EX: Windows 98 upgraded to Windows XP)
You may want to try windows update, but again I don't think paint is upgradeable
On a new computer.
Microsoft Paint can only be used on later versions of Windows, such as Windows seven. The new one is much better, having different styles of brushes and a vsariety of other tools. You can download Windows 7 but it will cost money.
