Yep I allways rode in the shopping carts when I was little but then my mom told me I was getting to big to ride in it so I stoped in the 4th grade.

No never have. when I was young shopping carts only had a wire basket like the plastic baskets of today for quick shopping. Two of them set on a frame with wheels and a handle. When you came to the check-out you or the bagger would set your baskets on the counter for the check-out clerk to read and push the price buttons on the cash registar. We didn't have moving belts on counters then nor the barcode scanners. The only place having baskets were grocery stores. There were no Kmarts or Walmarts. Your grocery store items were placed in paper bags and other purchaces were wrapped in paper and tied with a string. Awww for the simpler good ole days!
