Now I've heard everything! I would assume the other sweat glands would kick in (or you'd overheat). My body might be happy otherwise, who wants sweaty armpits?

If Hyperhidrosis is what you're reffering to, be prepared to increase sweating in other areas of your body (abdomen, feet, neck, etc) and lose about a month's work if you go through with the surgery. Source: http://www.embarrassingproblems.com/sweating_a.htm
