The ratio of the measures of two complementary angles is 1:4. What are the measures of the angles?

    If complementaries add up to 90, then 1 + 4 makes 5, and 90 divided by 5 is 18, so your answer is 18 and 4x18 which is 72. 18 and 72.

    If they add up to 180 (which I think is supplementaries) the answer for the 1:4 would be 36 and 144, right?
