Because it's too hot outside to run in the middle of the day.

That rarely happens. I have an obsession about being on time, which means we are always ahead of schedule and sometimes drive around the block or park and sit until "the time" arrives. I think it is extremely disrespectful to be late, fashionably or otherwise. If I am running late it is because some unplanned for disaster has occurred and then I always call in advance of the time we should be there to let the host/hostess know. :)
