The sway bar, also known as a stabilizer bar, is made of spring steel and mounts to the frame or unibody. The ends of the sway bar connect to the lower control arms. Helps reduce vehicle lean during cornering.

As stated above, sway bar stabalizes the alignment to your vehicle, old days ball joints (term) of likeness if you know what ball joints are you can better understand the sway bar. You cn pay to much money through the dealership,or find them online, much cheaper even with the shipping cost. and save hundreds of dollars. Just had it done. It is not that hard to do your self. take out a nut(that can be hard) yet its self explanitory if you have any smarts at all, i'm a girl, and it was to easy. By your front tires on each side.
