Healthy habits can help a lot. Wash your face at least three times a day with a mild soap, and rinse completely. Eat plenty of fruit and vegetables, and less fats and calories, drink at least 6 to 8 glasses of water, get the equivalent of one mile of walking every day, and enough sleep.
If you are following the healthy guidelines, ask your doctor for a referral to a dermatologist.
Yes, I have the same problem, plus I break out in other weird areas too, don't even ask! I have this really great product it's like a face mask type thing... get something that's thick and you leave on your face for about ten minutes before washing off(no neutrogena!) it really gets all that dirt out of your skin, don't touch your face and if you sweat a lot try to wipe or wash it off so it's not sitting there on your skin. It sucks a lot, I know!
i have found neutragena acne spot gel takes care of these and works so good.
The contraceptive pill will help this problem. If your periods are irregular it will fix that too. It will take a couple of months for it to clear completely but you will notice the results starting within the first month. It doesnt need to be a high dose pill, even low dose (20mcg) will be effective for acne reasons. If your in Australia, I reccommend loette.. I do not reccomment Yasmin, even though it's designed for acne because it will clear the acne up but has a common side effect of making people fat.
what is the best over the counter product to cure severe acne?

You're reading Ladies: Around the time of my period my face usually breaks out and then I spend the rest of the month fighting to clear it up, only to have the same thing repeat. Can anyone relate? What helps you deal with this?

I usually do most of the above. I could probably get a little more sleep. Thanks. +6
