As far as I know it started in 1337 and ended in 1453 - therefore making it 116 years long.

It is officially recognized as lasting 116 years, however, there was 7 years of peace from 1415-1422, and the English were not entirely forced out of France until 1565.

More than one hundred years. They just called it the Hundred Years War because it sounded nice. The Thrity Years War actually lasted thirty years though, and that's why everyone likes that war so much more.

    1) "116 years from 1337 to 1453. It [...] was punctuated by several brief and two lengthy periods of peace." "[It] is commonly divided into three or four phases: the Edwardian War (1337-1360), the Caroline War (1369-1389), the Lancastrian War (1415-1429), and the slow decline of English fortunes [...], (1429-1453)."
"The term "Hundred Years' War" was a later historical term invented by historians to describe the series of events."

    2) According to this data, we can evaluate how long they did actually fight:
    -(1337-1360)-(1369-1389)-(1415-1453)= 81 years
