Why "Trojan horse" instead of "Greek horse"?

Maybe because the war was called the Trojan War...and not the Greek War.

It belonged to the Trojans. The Greeks gave it to them.

Because it was a special horse; an oversized model ostensibly left as a gift, with soldiers inside who according to legend broke out and attacked the city from within. Since the tainted gift was specific to the battle, it was named for it. Since then it serves as a metaphor for any circumstance of bringing in something supposedly innocuous, but actually dangerous, past all protective barriers.
