Hey, do you know anything about Jim Morrison having a son? I was in Memphis talking to Jason D. Williams (Jerry Lee Louis bastard son) and he told me the old lead singer for Mojo Risin, a Doors tribute band, was in reality the son of Jim. His name is Now Chris Bangs. So I looked up the name on the Internet and found a Jazz artist named Chris Bangs. After contacting him, he told me that there was another Chris Bangs from Memphis that sang for Mojo Risin in the past but later joined a band named "Dust for Life". I found the Dust for Life web site and saw a fellow named Chris Gavin was their singer. Thinking this could be his stage name, I called their contact number and spoke to a guy named Jason Hughes. He said Chris Bangs was their old singer and that he could not discuss the Morrison relationship. I asked if he knew something that he could not discuss or if he knew nothing and thats why he couldn't discuss it. He said that he legally could not discuss anything pertaining to a relationship between Chris Bangs and Jim Morrison. I asked him why and he repeated his disclaimer. When I explained where I got the info, he said he knew Jason D Williams and I should go back to him if I wanted more info. I went to the club where I me Jason, Pat O's in Memphis, and asked the guy who does their booking what the deal was and did he know how to get in touch with Jason and he directed me to Jason's Web site. I have emailed him but have not gotten a response. Here is where it gets freaky. I looked up the other Chris Bangs' on the Internet and found one that lives in the same city as I do, Slidell, LA. So what the heck, I called the number. When a man answered I asked if he was the Chris Bangs that sang for Dust for Life, he said yes. After making some small talk I asked if he was related to Jim Morrison, the phone went dead, so I called back, he answered and told me angrily to leave him alone and not to call back. I gave it a chance to calm sown and called back only to find that my number was blocked. Well, being determined (or stupid) I went to the address listed with the phone number and found a nice big house with a FEMA trailer in front of it. We just had Katrina rip through here. I knocked on the door and there was no answer. So I went to the FEMA trailer, I heard guitar music playing as I approached. I knocked on the door and a tall good looking "Jim"esque guy answered the door and asked if he could help me. I apologized to him and said that I was determined and simply must know if he was Jim Morrison's son. Without saying anything, he produced a cell phone and called the police. I told him I would leave and I was sorry. I left with haste. My question is this, I can't find anything on the net about Jim having a son, or even a rumor of such. BUT, if this wasn't true, why is everyone acting so wired. I am on a mission, I simply MUST know if I live less than 10 miles from the Lizard Prince. HAVE YOU HEARD ANYTHING ABOUT THIS? Joe

To find the son, child or heir to the Morrison estate, follow the money trail(royalties). The estate is split between James D. Morrison's parents and those of Pamela Curson Parents, Morrison's Parents, and one Clifford Morrison, offspring of a union between Jim and one of his groupies/girlfreinds, ect. Information is minimal on the mother. Clifford Morrison is in a California State Prison(Soladad) at the present time, for a carjacking, drugs, ect. His Band was called the Lizard Sun Band, and did do some recordings with Robbie Kreigers son, Waylon I believe.Talented singer, poet with no control over his addictions.Should be released in the next two years.

I knew Cliff in LA about 10 or so years ago. He did look like his father and was a pretty good musician. Some friends of mine wanted to take him "big" and insisted on DNA testing. The tests proved he was Jim Morrison's son. It all came to nothing: Cliff was a little too far out for the very straight people who wanted to use him. He loved dousing people with acid. They had to close down a Hollywood club once when he doused an entire private party. Medics stayed in attendance until everyone came down safely. My favorite story is the time he poured a gallon (so he says) of acid in a little lagoon in Venice, CA, dropped some himself and spent the next 24 hours watching the ducks trip. A pretty decent guy when I knew him. If he is in prison it is a shame, but his father cast a huge shadow.

Nothing has ever been written about Jim Morrisons son because he doesn't have one. There is no money trail leading to Cliff "Morrison". If there was, he could have afforded a much better lawyer, and not when to prison for so long.

I had the opportunity to meet Cliff recently and to hear some of his upcoming music. The resemblence both visually and vocally is striking and even "EERIE". I also had a chance to talk to Cliff's mom. I was able to verify the fact, via one of MY family members, that Cliff's mom was seeing Jim around the time Cliff was conceived. Now you put this together with the fact that Jim's father has acknowledged Cliff to be Jim's son, and that Cliff is drawing from a trust put up by the Estate, and anyone, other than an incorrigible pessimist, would arrive at the correct conclusion that Cliff is Jim's son.

it all reads to be so convincing, can all his fans really believe and band members, or family that, it was to be sooo hush after all these years??? i think if any love child or child being born, with a DNA or not regardless- of money issues, had no reason to hold a quiet time then or now, to this day, i am sure we would all feel as fans ok, if all silly rumours did keep sooo to the right information, we ALL fans would like to remember jim as himself a great person, with a talent, as a great artist, past, present now.

You can find information about Jim on a whole bunch of sites. He is out there! In fact, he has a charity concert in San Pedro California on June 27th at the Warner Grand Theater. If you don't believe that he is Jim's son, then you should definitely go and check him out. Actually you should go to this event anyways. It sounds like a lot of fun and its for a good cause. He doesn't just look like Jim, but he sounds like him too! His sounds is amazing!!!

To be completely Honest to me it doesn't matter if Cliff is or isn't Jim Morrisons son. I got a chance to check him out Live and it's AMAZING.I would rather here Cliff's original songs than Doors covers. I saw Riders on the storm w/ Ian Astbury on vocals it was good but to be honest I'd rather see Cliff's show. It is so much more fresh and alive.If they said tomorrow that Cliff wasn't Jim's son I would still go to his shows as he is the best out there.I was front row hollywood house of blues and there were momements where I'd swear It was Jim Himself.Not just the vocals but the stage appearance and looks. if you have not seen Cliff's show go by all means.

He is living in this mans house for free. cliff says he will outright purchase the house as soon as he "makes it big". that was their deal over a year ago. he is still living there for free. Cliff Morrison is a true son of Jim Morrison. Hes out of jail already and being successfull in the music industry. He and his band, lizard Sun, do have a official website at myspace. www.myspace.com/cmlsboffical The band is playing many charity concerts and even recieved two music awards.Danny Sugerman, the dead manager of the Doors, even admitted this once in an interview I read printed in a mag.However, their sound is really great.

Chris (who often goes by his first name, which is not Christopher, btw) is a very private person. I have the feeling that, even though he now sings in a Doors cover band, he'd really rather be known on his own merits alone. I knew him for many years in New Orleans and he never once even mentioned his father.

Im wondering if you have found anymore info on Jim's son. Imight have some information.

Floyd is lying. He himself said that he hates morrison. if something ever happens to morrison, i wouldnt wonder, if he did it. he was joking about it once. and he ripped people off. I got friends working with him and one of them told me that this man stole money from his gf. many groups i know keep telling me that you better shouldnt work with floyd.
