Yes, because you're offending an entire people. Would you say something is "black", if it were stupid?
-
Gay should probably not be used so much for an insult anymore. I say it too. That's so gay. But if you say it to a gay guy he usually agrees.
-
Right and wrong are a matter of opinion.
-
obviously
-
Only if the person is gay because then it's redundant, "hey gay, your gay"....see what I mean. When I like to say something is strange I use the word "queer" because it means weird.
-
Its an insult used by stupid people who are insecure about their sexuality. This is why mainly teens who have questioned their own sexuality who have lower than average intellect use it. If I got called gay it would mean nothing at all to me. I would just say I was gay if I was, or I wasnt gay lol
-
Nope. Free speech.
-
not really, just stupid.

I find that people that get so easily offended by such an insignificant statement will probably be offended sooner or later by something else I say, whether I am intending to hurt their feelings or not. I'm not going to metaphorically "walk around on eggshells" to keep from offending someone. People that are that uptight can just go f**k themselves. And, no, I have no problem with anyone's sexuality. That's their own business and I couldn't care less. >.>

i have been working on not refering bad or negative things as being "gay".i can see how it is offensive to others,so i will not use it.
-
when I was a teenager at school I used to say things were gay. When i was really young I didn't know what it meant and thought gay was just another word like lame or uncool. By the time I actually found out what it meant I was so used to saying it I continued to use it but now that I am an adult I never say it, however I acknowledge that kids who do say it might have just had a similar experience to me with the word.

I just got used to using it before I knew what it meant, but now I and a lot of people I know use ghey instead of gay when typing. I'm sorry if it offends, but I like my vulgarities!
