  • Are you taking about having a dog riding in the bed of a truck? It's very dangerous and probably illegal in many states.
  • you cannot possibly mean literally behind a pick up-cause i will have to lose control of my temper if you find that even remotely amusing...have a nice day
  • I also hope that you are not talking about dragging the dog behind your truck while you are driving. As for letting it ride in the truck bed, it is illegal in many states. I had a dog named Tina that tried to jump out of a truck bed while the truck was moving. She was tethered on a leash. Fortunately, she only sprained her paw. I personally think that all pets should be kenneled or tethered inside of vehicles while going for a ride. I have seen many dogs hanging out of windows with just their rear legs in the vehicle. If the owner had to stop short, the dog would go flying onto the road. I have also had the experience of a dog getting under my feet literally while I was driving on the interstate. I have never been so scared.
