Are you asking if a professional soccer player, who plays soccer for MONEY for whatever team owns his contract, is a "traitor" when his contract gets bought by another team? My answer would be "no."

No he is going were he is wanted to give himself every chance of champions league fottbal and get himself back in the mix for the England side.

A traitor to who? If you mean Liverpool, no not at all. He hasn't played for them for many years. It's not like he went straight to Man UTD after leaving Liverpool. If he did that, then he would be considered a traitor. I doubt many LFC fans will be annoyed about his move to Man UTD.

In my opinion, yes, for both liverpool and newcastle united. He betray newcastle, the club which pay his huge salaries all this years when he was injured, and by joining manchester united, he betray his liverpool fans which had adored him all this years. Not a good move mike.

Liverpool and Manchester United aren't each other biggest rivals. Espically as both Mancity and Everton are involved in the Premier League as well. Regardless that is up for debate and based on opinion. No real fan of any club would say Owen is a traitor. Newcastle didn't renew his contract and would have known that the couldn't compete with United. Liverpool sold him - they couldn't care less. He did what was best for him with minimal fuss or backstabbing. Fair play to the lad, hope he revives his career.
