Yea but be prepared to be able to do something else that can pay the bills right off the bat. Writing is like painting, takes a while for things to lift off financially

If you focus and study how, of course it is. You also have to have a good proofreader and editor.

Yes it it! and a highly respectable one! Literature is one of the few things that takes knowledge to do and is very commendable. Also, if it is your DREAM..it shouldn't matter whether or not it is going to pay the bills or whether or not everyone loves your writing. If writing makes you happy then write your little heart out, everything else will work itself out.
