I don't think it would be safe to treat this witout experienced medical assistance. Illegal drugs might help somewhat, but that is not a good solution. You could always try prayer. If you are serios about it, it actually could work.

I just do my best everyday, and try not to let it keep me down. With support from good friends,at times,I am very content, like today, while other days are pure hell, but I try to do the very best that I can to follow my morality and concious, even if it's difficult at times when so stressed.I have borderline, and if you do,it takes alot out of you,I know, but we can support each other if we can learn how to ask for help.*+++++*

This is why we need Obama's health insurance reform. Until then, can't PeteO1970 go to a clinic or the emergency room? County Mental Health Dept.? Does anyone out there have any experience with this?

Here you go... I believe Lilly makes the drug you probaly need. http://www.lilly.com/responsibility/programs/ This used to be my job. If you find that the drug you need isn't by Lilly just type that name into your search engine along with Patient assistance program. Good luck!

Every city has a mental health clinic that is based on your income. There is usually a wait to see someone but it's better than nothing. call the Er and they can refer you. You can get the drugs thru the patient assistance programs but the doctor HAS to fill out and sign the forms..you cannot self medicate on these drugs. Do you have a family doctor. He/she can prescribe something or refer you somewhere. If you are suicidal the Er is your best bet and they have to treat you. Payment or not. Good luck

Take it from an educated bipolar with every kind of bipolar somewhere in the family: 1) Get better, more professional advice elsewhere on the Internet 2) DON'T self-medicate with alcohol; it will only exacerbate the self-delusional aspects of the condition 3) Make a point of taking responsibility for your actions, now more than ever. Making excuses for emotional outbursts or other extreme behaviors will only make your life worse in the long run.

Contact your local Dept. of Health and ask them what services are available for free or little cost in your area. You cannot treat these conditions on your own. There are no home remedies at all.

As others have said, look for a mental health facility that will work with you on treatments, medication monitoring,,etc.Maybe by calling a local hospital psychiatric unit or behavioral health unit will get you some ideas as to the resources in your community that can help you. Best of luck,it will get better.

Try to contact your local mental health clinic they should be able to refer you to the county mental health services, they usually provide services for free or on a sliding scale.
