What kind of gas; LOL! If your referring to petrol, I'm sure if enough was ingested it could. I would think that the gas that builds up in our digestive process naturally couldn't.

... which gas and how much of it ... ??? ... there are certain things that once swallowed, will react with stomach acid and give off both hydrogen gas and chlorine gas ... while small amounts of hydrogen gas are harmless, large amounts will puff you up until something ruptures or explodes but even a small amount of chlorine gas is poisonous enough that it can kill ...
