  • No, because the heart's not going fast enough to require yawning. The reason people yawn when they're awake but sleepy, is because while their heart's still going at fifty mph, and their brain is still awake, their lungs are slowing down, leaving less oxygen for the brain. So to compensate, the brain sends commands to the lungs to forcefully pull in air so that more oxygen gets into the blood stream, therefor keeping the brain awake and functional.
