  • For a fusion vehicle, the fuel would currently be hydrogen. How far one could go on a liter of H2, that would depend on the engine efficiency and the weight of the vehicle.
  • future space shuttles submarines and other very large vehicles could be fusion powered in the future. but not your car. saying you want a fusion powered is almost like saying you want a powered by fission (current nuclear technology). this is because the energy required to maintain the magnetic confinement field and the energy produced would be tremendous. all that just to move a car? a much more likely scenario would be very efficient solar powered cars. the most likely source of fuel would be some kind of hydrogen isotope. http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Nuclear_fusion
