For a fusion vehicle, the fuel would currently be hydrogen. How far one could go on a liter of H2, that would depend on the engine efficiency and the weight of the vehicle.

future space shuttles submarines and other very large vehicles could be fusion powered in the future. but not your car. saying you want a fusion powered is almost like saying you want a powered by fission (current nuclear technology). this is because the energy required to maintain the magnetic confinement field and the energy produced would be tremendous. all that just to move a car? a much more likely scenario would be very efficient solar powered cars. the most likely source of fuel would be some kind of hydrogen isotope. http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Nuclear_fusion
