I don't know. I have never done the experiment. But I have been told that it is a fallacy, and that frogs will jump out of water that becomes either too hot or cold. I would expect so.

That is true. If the temperature were to rise slowly the frog will not realize what is happening till it is too late. Never encourage children to experiment with this. They will really do it if you tell them about this.
