I think curiosity and rumors on how the quality of life was better here convinced my parents to come. The problem was that you're able to accomplish what you want with strong determination but you have to work non-stop and thats what my dad did. He worked really hard and my mother did too. We stayed home alone. Long story short they divorced and we ended up living with my dad. The price is very high to pay when immigrants come here. But despite the huge sacrifice, I am glad my parents decided to come here. I don't know what I would be doing in Peru right now, but my life would have been SO different.
