  • I am not sure what type of computer you use , but often times if its a desktop type it may be it needs a new battery , or elsewhere in your system you have your location set wrong (time zone) and the system is attempting to be correct by changing it for you .Just a stab in the dark , good luck !
  • It will likely be the battery that's on the motherboard. It looks like a watch battery. In most cases, it's about the size of a nickel coin. You just need to replace it with one that is rated similar. There's a string of numbers on it that identify it. If it's a battery made by sony, chances are it's CR2032. No tools are required other than for opening the PC case. Once you've replaced it, if you know what you're doing, you can enter the bios and adjust the time and date. If you are uncomfortable with this, you can always just adjust it in windows. It will automatically update the bios time clock.
  • One solution is to have your computer automatically synchronize itself with the "official" Atomic Clock in Boulder, CO (correcting for time zone, of course) There are many vendors for software that does this. Here's one... http://www.adjusttime.com/clock/
