William F. Cody (Buffalo Bill) was born in Iowa in 1846. Henry McCarty (the real name of 'Billy the kid') was born in New York City a little over ten years later. Although both ended up moving west, I don't think they ever really crossed paths, as one was a military man, and the other was an outlaw. Technically, I guess they could be really distant relatives, but I'd guess no.
