At This Moment, by Billy Vera and The Beaters. Lyrics: What did you think I would do at this moment When you're standing before me With tears in your eyes Trying to tell me that you have found you another and you just don't love me no more What did you think I would say at this moment When I'm faced with the knowledge That you just don't love me Did you think I would curse you Or say things to hurt you 'cause you just don't love me no more Did you think I could hate you Or raise my hands to you Now come on you know me too well How could I hurt you when darling I love you and you know I'd never hurt you-oo-wo-oo... What do you think I would give at this moment If you'd stay I'd subtract twenty years from my life I'd fall down on my knees and kiss the ground that you walk on If I could just hold you again I'd fall down on my knees and kiss the ground that you walk on baby If I could just hold you If I, could just hold you If I could just hold-hold you, again

Common People by William Shatner (well, covered by William Shatner). Rent a flat above a shop. Cut your hair and get a job. Smoke some fags and play some pool, Pretend you've never been to school. But then you'll never get it right, 'Cause when you're layin' in bed at night, Watching roaches climb the wall, You could call your Dad and he'd stop it all... You'll never be like common poeple, You'll never do what common people do, You'll never fail like common people, You'll never watch your life slide out of view, As you drink, and dance, and screw, 'Cause there's nothing else to do...

Be Mine, by R.E.M. "("A speed zone up here too") I never thought of this as funny It speaks another world to me I want to be your Easter bunny I want to be your Christmas tree. I'll strip the world that you must live in of all its godforsaken greed. I'll ply the tar out of your feathers. I'll pluck the thorns out of your feet. You and me. You and me. And if I choose your sanctuary I want to wash you with my hair. I want to drink of sacred fountains And find the riches hidden there. I'll eat the lotus and peyote. I want to hear the caged bird sing. I want the secrets of the Temple. I want the finger with the ring. You and me. You and me. You will see. That if you make me your religion I'll give you all the room you need. I'll be the drawing of your breath. I'll be the cup if you should bleed. I'll be the sky above the Ganges I'll be the vast and stormy sea. I'll be the lights that guide you inward. I'll be the visions you will see. The visions you will see. You will see. You will see. You and me. You and me. You and me."

easy, "she's lost control" - joy division Confusion in her eyes that says it all. She's lost control. And she's clinging to the nearest passer by, She's lost control. And she gave away the secrets of her past, And said I've lost control again, And a voice that told her when and where to act, She said I've lost control again. And she turned around and took me by the hand and said, I've lost control again. And how I'll never know just why or understand, She said I've lost control again. And she screamed out kicking on her side and said, I've lost control again. And seized up on the floor, I thought she'd die. She said I've lost control. She's lost control again. She's lost control. She's lost control again. She's lost control. Well I had to 'phone her friend to state my case, And say she's lost control again. And she showed up all the errors and mistakes, And said I've lost control again. But she expressed herself in many different ways, Until she lost control again. And walked upon the edge of no escape, And laughed I've lost control. She's lost control again. She's lost control. She's lost control again. She's lost control.

Ball Of Confusion by The Temptations: People moving out, People moving in, Why, because of the color of their skin, Run, run, run, but you just can't hide. An eye for an eye, Tooth for a tooth, Vote for me and I'll set you free, Rap on, brother, rap on. Well, the only person talking about loving thy brother is the preacher, And it seems nobody's interested in learning, but the teacher, Segregation, demonstration, intergration, determination, aggravation, humiliation, Obligation to our nation. Ball of confusion, That's what the world is today, hey. The sale of pills is at an all time high, Young folks walk with their heads in the sky, The cities aflame in the summertime, And oh the beat goes on. Evolution, revolution, gun control, sound of soul-shooting rockets to the moon, Kids growing up too soon, Politicians say, "More taxes will solve everything," The band played on. So, round and around and around we go, Where the world's headed, nobody knows Oh, Great Googamooga, Can't you hear me talking to you, Just a ball of confusion, That's what the world is today, hey. Fear in the air, tension everywhere, Unemployment rising fast, The Beatles new record's a gas, And the only safe place to live, Is on an Indian reservation, The band played on. Eve of destruction, tax deduction, City inspectors, bill collectors, mod clothes in demand, Population out of hand, suicide, too many bills, Hippies moving to the hills, People all over the world are shouting, "End the war!", And the band played on. Great Googamooga, Can't you hear me talking to you, Just a Ball Of Confusion

Right now?? As in this exact moment in time?? Well..... I know I promised not to mention it again but oh well. "Good Thing" by Fine Young Cannibals sums up life very well. So well in fact it's a little scary. She left me in the exact same way as the girl in the song, which is just picking up and leaving. And in the song he keeps up with her life through friends and I do too. And in the song and in real life the only way I get to see her is in my dreams. :( -EDIT- I just heard another good one. "Invisible Touch" by Genesis. You can tell my love life has been taking some hard blows lately can't you?? I said I would quit talking about it but oh well. You'll live.
