At 18 I was in the US Navy. The year was 1957. I was paid $109 per month including my sea duty pay (E3). I was stationed at Pearl Harbor, Territory of Hawaii. Hawaii was not yet a state.
i was making $7.50 an hr getting 22.5 hours or so a week.
At age 18 in 1965, I was making over a hundred dollars a week from part time jobs. I made $3.50 an hour doing stevedore work at a UPS hub. I also bought my first car during that year. It was an old bombed-out 1959 Ford Galaxy 500.
I am 16 and when i work with my dad in his own business i own 13 bucks an hour and about 200-300 dollars a week depending on how much i work.
Studying. started working at 20.
At 18 I was in my preuniversity years and therefore I was not working. However I gave tuition just to pay for my school fees. The amount I earned was too meagre to mention.

That was the late 80's for me. I was making 4.50 when minimum wage was 3.35.
I worked at the Sky Dome vending food for the Toronto Blue Jays. It was 1998. I was making $7/hour plus commission, so, maybe $100 a day. But it would fluctuate and I didn't work every day.

That would have been 1981, and I was going to community college and living at home. I worked in a small bookstore that somehow got away with paying under minimum wage. It was under 3.00 and hour and part-time.

It's a long time ago. I was living in Perth, WA. I think I had 2 jobs while I was 18: one was collecting the cash and cleaning vending machines - mainly pinball and juke boxes in those days. But the main job was working as a junior clerk for WA Government railways: I quite enjoyed that job. Pity they had to toss me out for missing too many work days!! Just when, as They said, I was setting new records for discovering inaccuracies in the rail charges.

I was making $20 an hour tutoring, for about 6-8 hours a week, plus about $10 being a waiter on the weekends for about 20 hours a week.
Hard to believe I gave it all up to go to college.

I wasn't really earning any in a job. But I was making things, jewelry and clothing for others and selling them. I did this all through high school and I had made about $4,000 back in the early 70s, a lot of money back then, and all in my spare time and actually in class.
I earned money about £30 each week at college and I am 18 now.
