I think she did the wrong thing. The police officer followed procedure, he appeared as though he couldn't believe it was happening. Until she went to get back in her car he made no threat to taser her. She seemed like a leaterhy old hag who thought she was beyond the law. She wasn't the first to be tasered for not signing a ticket and won't be the last. Wrong or not it's procedure, he didn't do anythig wrong he did his job.

A 72 year old woman isn't potentially dangerous? An 88 year old man just went on a shooting rampage and killed one person. The cop was following procedure and the woman wasn't listening. She pays the price, just like everyone else.

The officer did what was needed. She tried to use her age "I'm a 72 years old woman", as if that excused her from obeying the law and exempted her from a ticket. She put herself and the officer in danger by continuing to force her way onto the highway and into her car. I'm frankly, sick to death of old people getting no or very light treatment because of their age. If a 32 year old woman had done what she did, well you know what would have happened. By the way, I'm 63. The officer is also the taser instructer with the force and, in this case I think he waited too long. She was bound and determined to fight him off and use her age to get away with breaking the law. As someone else said,'she was probably a bar room fighting floozie in her younger days'. Looked like she was used to brawling. She wasn't givin' up. Bravo officer, Bravo.

You were indeed FIRST to post this question, and I publicly apologize to you, for duplicating your question. I sent the following feedback to the AB Administrators: These two questions are duplicates: 1508616 and 6790073 The one that should be FLAGGED is MY OWN, because the one that was FIRST, was 1508616. Mensan" Your question was 1508616. Hopefully, they will respond by flagging MY question, and having yours remain as the only one. Again, I'm very sorry that I posted a question that should NEVER have been posted by me. FWIW, I did search for a duplicate question, before my own was posted, and yours did not show up. That's righteous. +6 for your answer where my duplicate question was posted. +5 your original question.

Age makes no difference in crimes. I arrested a 72 year old grandmother for stealing shoes from her employer for many years. her house was loaded with stolen shoes. she would sell them on the weekends at the American Legion. On the age spectrum, a juvenile commits a crime and is arrested. so, whats the difference is arresting a senior citizen? The constable was absolutely correct in following police procedure in this arrest. the video tape proves this. she had the opportunity to sign the citation, but refused. her choice! A crime is a crime. age and gender make no difference.
