Mm yes I suppose so. I am 5ft 2 1/2 and my husband was just slightly over a foot taller

Im 5' Hes 6'+ I just like his body. Hes tall, hes man...and he can throw me around...and manuver me. Its great, plus he likes that im little. =)

Every woman is an individual, so you can't make those kinds of generalizations or stereotypes. I can tell you that my 5', 90lb friend who married a 6'5" 350 lb man did it because she loved the man for his character. He'd been a family friend for a very long time and she'd had plenty of time to know him for who he was. When her marriage dissolved, he was there to comfort her. He was kind and gentle and he loved her. She knew him to be a man of good character. He didn't live to grow old with her, but they had ten wonderful years together. He was and always will be the one great love of her life. Character matters, appearance doesn't.

Not sure that it's the size that makes them feel safe, or the actual "person." My love tall men, but not because they make me feel safe. I just like a "big" guy. And yah, size matters.

My ex was 5 feet 2 inches tall. I am 6 feet 2 inches tall. We have a daughter who is 5 feet 8 inches tall. Sometimes women want taller kids. So it is not just to feel safe. BTW our daughter is beautiful like her mother, just a lot taller....

Because in the millions of years of the pre-industrial era, during which many of our mating preferences were 'hard-wired' into our brain circuitry, a bigger stronger man typically had better survival chances and social status than a smaller slighter man. Nowadays, of course, a 98-lb. milquetoast with an Uzi (and sufficient ammunition) can overpower a legion of 6'6" 250-lb martial arts experts. But conscious knowledge of that fact does not seem to alter womens' thinking about this....:-P... . . .

When I dated an extremely tall man I didn't feel safe. I felt less safe because he was extremely more stronger than me, but I thought I was in love. I'm with a tall, but not extremely tall, guy now and am actually in love and feel safe.

I'm 5'3 and if I dated an extremely tall guy, I would only feel short. But it's not just women who have the preference, I know a really tall guy who has a thing for smaller women.

I don't know the answer. I'm a tall female. I think part of it may be sexual - the guy can lift her and maneuver better, etc. I've always wondered though. Thanks for asking.
