  • I don't mind. I just repeat what I said, emphasizing what I must to get the right point across. I can be patient in such situations.
  • Like they weren't listening or I didn't explain myself thoroughly enough.
  • Annoyed
  • After I read your question, I am hearing you say that you like it when people distort your words? Just kidding, I'm being a smart ass. It irritates me too, especially when they are just trying to slip in their own agenda.
  • Ticks me off. They flip it around and backwards and then inside out to make it work to their advantage! And I am the one to fall for it!!! But I've learned and now caught on to it. LOL invis.+5
  • I aggravates me sometimes because I feel like they couldn't have been listening to me, or I must have misspoken for them to tell me something that seemed so different from what I thought I said.
  • 1) A little annoyed. Of course, there is always some distorting between what I say and how someone else is trying to reproduce it, but if I really find some important differences, I would stop them to rectify their presentation and explain what they did not get. 2) In some cases, the distorting could also be intended, and I would have to find out why they do this. • I feel frustrated and remain calm and take responsibility and say "I see I didn't do a good job of saying what I mean. I'll try again. What I mean is ..." That way they are not on guard and defensive. The whole exchange stays calm.
