They probably had a bad day, or a bad few years. Just let them sleep it off, and if that doesn't work, pat them on the head and say "there, there" sarcastically.

i think they must be in really deep debt, beside your right it's not like their birth was all that important to the rest of the world.

These people may have communication problems- some assume or have high expectations from others. When things don't come to their expectations they tend to blame others for not fulfilling. With such experiences I am rather wary of instructions that are vague- or that are lack of details. Another type are the demands of such expectations= demands are based on non negotiations..it's their way or no way. Such people must be dealt with specific detail rules or regulations before having anything to do with them. Setting boundaries are good for self defense against those who are demanding.
