• Thanks JgrumpyC, it has been a century and a year for the Cubs. Hope the Brew Crew makes it though, I mean at least to the playoffs. As for your Rockies, they looked pretty good to me the last 3 games.

• Yeah, I think the Brewers are due. They haven't been since the ol Robin Yount days. I always liked the Brew Crew because growing up before we had the Rockies we had the Denver Zephyrs, which were the AAA team for the Brewers. I remember watching Greg Vaughn and Gary Sheffield play at the old Mile High Stadium before getting called up.

• LOL, I'm disgusted with Pirate's management, Jenn. They just traded their best player for 3 minor leaguers. They are in a constant state of rebuilding. What are they building for? They got 1 triple A player, 1 double A player and 1 single A player. None can help them immediately. But I'm ever loyal through thick and thin.

• It is bad, I don't understand it. How do you trade your leader in home runs and RBI? The best player? From what I understand not only are fans angry, but the Pirates players as well.
  
  I understand loyalty through thick and thin, as bad as the Brewers have had it in the past, the poor Pirates have had it worse.

• I'm a Reds fan since birth.. My grandfather was drafted by them a zillion yrs ago and he knew Ty Cobb personally. :p Whatever you do though..remain loyal always..even if they stink. ;)

• My grandfather never got to play for the Reds because he was under age, but he played semi pro for many years back when teams used to barnstorm in the off seasons. He was a catcher so his shins were ripped to shreds and every finger on both hands were broken multiple times. He died when I was about 14, but i have great memories of his stories.. He loved Johnny Bench.. He was only playing a few years before my grandfather passed away..

• LOl! Yes the Reds are doing great! Unless the Cubs get their act together, it's the Reds, Cards and Brewers battling it out.
  The Brewers and the other leagues, it seems like a million years ago, but I do remember being in the AL East and I still have animosity towards the Yankees. And the AL central, but for some reason I like the Twins and White Sox.

• Hell..cubs never win.. there's a reason for that and the big media people have never liked the reds because they stomped the big A's 4 straight back in 90 and the yanks 4 straight in 76.. Brewers pretty much fit in that category too plus Bud Selig isn't the media leagues favorite guy.. we all have our goats i guess ;)

• Being the underdog takes off a lot of unneeded pressure anyway.. who would want the nilly willy reporters hanging out every game? Only the players that love the spotlight like NY, LA, etc..

• Very true. The Cubs are chokers, they remind me of the Minnesota Vikings, get in and fall apart. (I'm a Packer fan) But being the underdog is better. The big media people are unbelievably biased, if the Brewers don't make it I'd rather see the Reds than any other NL Central team. The connection with Selig, what can you do? Teams like the Yankees are representative of what's wrong, big money, greed and self-importance.

• Hoffman has been lights out! It's surreal to see him in a Brewers jersey. Our worst pitcher is Manny Parra, I think if we could get another decent pitcher (but where? I don't see Peavy coming) I think the Crew could contenders. Out Bullpens pitching a 3.09, so they're okay. But the WS, ahhh a dream
