Have you found that friends you make at work only remain your friends as long as you work at that particular job or do they last longer?

It really depends on how close of a friend they are, I suppose. I still have friends I made at previous jobs. And there have been those I considered friends that I rarely, if ever, hear from any longer since we no longer work together.

Ya thats sad but true. Only ones Ive remained friends with were the ones that I knew before we started working together.

Not the real friends. Within 4 or 5 months of leaving a job most of my work mates and I would have stopped spending as much time chatting on the phone, and going for nights out together etc. The ones I actually consider friends have stuck around. I met my boyfriend at work and we didn't get together until 6 months after I left =)

Both. The ones who I click with, would click with if we met elsewhere - well those are true friendships. If work is the primary thing we have in common - and then we no longer do, well it doesn't make much sense to stay in touch.
