When using antibiotics (antibacterial soap) you are increasing the risk that the germs you are trying to kill will build up an immunity to this antibiotic. We already have germs that are imune to our regular antibiotics. (Google “supergerms”) Let’s face it, you are washing your hands to remove things that you don’t want on them. Soap does this by reducing the surface tension of the water, making it super thin and able to get into and wash out all the nooks and crannies on your hands. It suspends this stuff in the foam and you rinse it off under the water. It does a very good job of washing off germs without killing them.
Many people would agree with me if I told you that a meticulously clean house is not necessarily a healthy house. Our bodys have the ability, just like germs, to become immune (build up anti-bodies) to these germs that are all over the place. If we aren’t exposed to them and don’t build up an immunity to them you are apt to fall prey to one of them.

That is not to say you can quit washing your hands.
