Yes, I think that would be a very kind thing to do. I imagine that poor person hasn't had a decent meal in a long time. Plus it always makes life easier if it feels like somebody actually cares that you suffer.
-
Done it before and i'll do it again even if he said it was the worst thing he ever ate! :)
-
yes, I think it would be really sweet.
-
Yes, more likely to do that than hand out cash.
-
Not if there was a chance of him/her knowing of my address/house location, in case they decided to take advantage of you genourosity but camping outside your house or worse...personal experience... I do give homeless people food though, your safety comes first.
-
I would. Or I'd give him cash.
-
Yes I would, people have to eat
-
Oh please dont let me get started on this subject! I hate to see people homeless and Hungry!! I took care of a homeless man once who was a little off. I got him every thing I could to help him a little. I couldnt bring him home with me becuase it wasnt safe. But that broke my heart!
-
of course
-
I will not give money to someone begging because all to often they are homeless due to alcohol or drug addiction and the money just goes to buy another nail in their coffin lid. But I will buy them something decent to eat.
-
Of course.
-
Totally. I think the satisfaction is the suprise on the face. "Wow, somebody cares" it goes along ways.
-
yes!.. I have done this a number of times and even went to the shops to buy them something to eat if I was not at home at the time, I have no problems with giving someone a helping hand and if all that takes is a good meal then its the least I can do
-
Well I've bought homeless people taco bell before, so I can't see why I wouldn't bring one a plate of home cooked food. I don't give out money, only food, water and blankets. Money is likely to go to booze, sadly.
-
Yes, it is a very compassionate thing to do.
-
Without a doubt!!! I sure would!! +5
-
Ya, I've also bought them a McDonalds meal on occasion.
-
yes, who knows their plite or there history. the one thing that is true is that at some point they havent functioned mentaly to be in that predicament for what ever reason so take some time to find out it may make thre day that someone cares........
-
sorry to break the tide here but NO! in P Town homeless are very dangerous
-
When I read your question, I thought you said take FROM, not take TO. Probably not a plate, but something sealed. I don't want them paranoid of me putting something funnin in the food.
-
Of course. I can't see anyone go hungry.
-
Yes, I would if the opportunity arises. There is a small park in front of my house but there isn't a homeless person there. Most of them are in the city.
-
No, I would direct them to one of the city's soup kitchen and resource centres where they can get a meal and some help with their life.
-
No! simply because there are places where they can eat & take shelter, at the same time I wouldn’t want to impose myself on anyone who may well just want to be left alone! I would however inform my local authority of their whereabouts as they could well potentially be illegal immigrants wanted by the immigration dept & therefore potentially being hostile to my approach! :-/ better to inform the police & have them checked out! IMO.
