No, you can't make a general statement here. When you're a tourist it will look that way, anything representing a new experience might seem more exciting and different from what you left at home.

I have a thing for Irish guys and Italian guys. It's more about their attitudes that make them attractive. American guys are good looking as well. They are a blend of many different cultures over the generations and independant. The best thing about a Brit, is the accent.

I honestly have a thing for a Scottish gentleman. None of the American guys I've met had done it for me.

Beauty is in the eye of the beholder but it isn't true, there is no way you can legitimately generalise two countries like that. I have spent an awful amount of time around lots of British men, and lots of American men and in all honesty there have been some of both who were drop dead gorgeous in my eyes, and some who were quite frankly, not. But, to give loyalty points to the Brits - And to offer a terrible generalisation - British men know how to dress. American and British men have a completely different sense of style and fashion, and the British style beats that of American hands down for me. The look alone is hot.
