  • The voltage won't matter if you put the right size resistor in line with one wire, or contact. That of course will drop the current flow. To pick the resistor, use an amp meter, or find the current output level of the 9.6V charger (1ma=0.001 amp, so 1000ma=1amp) and calculate the resistor size that you need to drop the current to about one third of what it is. (current level in amps = the voltage level in volts divided by resistance level in ohms)
