Cold Chisel (probably best road trip band ever seriously) Thin Lizzy Bruce Springstein Cat Stevens Neil Young Guns N' Roses I went on holidays to Thailand a while ago and we listened to those artists and they were good for driving aye trust me

A mixed cd full of up beat tunes to keep you awake. I prefer a lot of 80's pop, up beat country songs, old school rap (80's-90's) and 90's pop while driving. Makes me sing a long the whole way. Sleep..who needs sleep when your listening to L.L. Cool J's, "I'm gonna knock you out". lol

It depends on what kind of music you like. I would recommend that you get a satallite radio reciever installed. When I got my first XM converter, it turned out to be free after rebate. There are still some good buys on these. It's so simple to hook it up yourself. Then you can pay for service one month at a time, so you could cancel the service after your trip if you wanted to. There are so many great commercial free channels on XM and Sirrius: music, comedy, sports, news, traffic, etc. When I go on long trips and I get bored with one style or music, I just flip to another channel or maybe try some comedy. Sometimes when I really get tired of driving, the comedy is a nice relief from the music.
