  • That depends on how much weight one wants to lose, for what reasons, and what weight one is starting from. Weight, in an ideal world, should be more motivated by health than by appearance. Different people have different builds, and everyone of the same height is not meant to weigh the same. Someone who is unhealthfully overweight would do well to want to lose weight and improve their health. Someone who simply cannot be thin enough, or obsesses over four or five pounds that don't make any kind of difference, might want to reconsider.
  • it's alright to lose weight, IF you are over weight, for your height and age you should be around a certain weight, if you are above this weight then you should lose weight. simple
  • I hate when people accuse others of losing weight due to pressure to be skinny. When they really dont even know the person well enough to base that conclusion. I think if you loose weight and you can afford to loose it, its going to affect your health positively no matter what the reason.
  • You should aim for a healthy weight for you and not be obsessed with the looks of it.
  • I believe that if you need to lose weight because you truly have weight to lose than that should be your decision, no one elses. Some people believe that because you are overweight that you NEED to lose weight, I believe that if you are happy with who you are then that's what matters.
  • I've never heard anyone say it's wrong to lose weight, unless the discussion was centered around people with eating disorders. I think people shouldn't be obsessed with looks when they try to lose weight. Instead, they should focus on physical comfort. If a person suffers from shortness of breath or limited range of mobility due to being overweight, then they should try to lose weight. But if a person feels physically healthy, they don't need to lose weight.
  • if you have overweight porblems it's good to. But actually it's not losing weight, but instead stop eating all that junk food and fast food, thet's what people should be aiming to, instead of looking for a thin body by nos eating well and getting a bunch of weight-losing shit that doesn't work.
  • Whom and why? The only time people get in someone's face about it is if they are worrie about them and that is not too often unless its getting drastic. Most people, I find are obsessed with overweight people and need to mind their own business.
  • i think wanting to lose weight is great. it means the person understands that they should be healthier, and they want to better themselves.
