We had one child that did that all the way into their teen years because they slept so soundly and so relaxed, they would lose bladder control. Our only solution was to wake 'em up half way thru the night to go pee and then send them back to bed. It actually worked.

Stop drinking an hour before bedtime and go to potty right before bed...Waking them up to go would surely help also!

How old is the child? For little children, this is normal for some time, but if they're in their teens, I think the only thing you can do is let them not drink before bed, and use the toilet, and ask your doctor next you see him if this is normal. (:

Ask your GP to refer you to a specialist in this field. My friend's son was finally put on a 3 month course of very low dosage anti depressants which broke the cycle of bed wetting. He was not depressed but it is all to do with rewiring the brain's responses.
