  • I will go with Jedi.
  • That's a no brainer. Absolutely, Jedi.
  • That debends on what you refer to as BETTER ? Better for whom?
  • If you only knew the power of the Dark Side of the Bag...
  • It's definitely much more pleasant to be a Jedi. Remember, we're talking about a dualistic mystic tradition that is very much based on Asian ideas about the cosmos, so it doesn't break down into Good vs. Evil, as much as Passive Peacefulness vs. Raging Endless Torment of Conflicting Desires. When you are a Jedi, you can feel the Force by stilling your thoughts, transcending your desires, and simply being in the moment. Like the Buddha said, desire is a distraction from enlightenment. So on the surface it might kind of seem like Jedi get a raw deal--they have to give up on getting rich, or macking on the ladies, or going on drinking binges (all the fun stuff you might imagine a bunch of smugglers doing). But then, they are in a deep state of peace and communion with the All; they don't really WANT to do those things anymore. It's the whole parable of the adult at the candy store. (You can now afford to buy all the candy you wanted when you were a child--but you don't want it anymore.) Being consumed by the Dark Side, though, is to be completely dominated by every desire you feel, tenfold. You never know peace. You are torn to pieces inside by jealousy one moment, lusty desire the next, then rage, inconsolable grief, greed...look at Anakin. One moment he loves Padme so much he's willing to help kill the Republic for her, the next moment he's force-choking her out of twisted jealousy and possessiveness. A Dark Sider uses his passions to give him power--but in the process is lost in those passions. Then there's also the 'evil genie' side of the Dark. You see, the Dark Side is death, destruction, and entropy--it's the nothingness that balances out the light and the life. You can't have new life without the death of the old to make room, right? Unfortunately, being an impersonal force, the Dark Side has no sense of balance. It wants to corrupt, rot, consume, and destroy all the time, anything it can touch. It's like a mindless beast at the bottom of a pit--and a Dark Jedi is the high priest that has to keep that beast fed. And if you don't throw other people (or planets, or armies, or whole star systems, or entire Republics) into the pit to be devoured, then the beast will take a bite of you instead. Basically a Dark Jedi finds himself in a position where he HAS to do evil things to feed the Dark Side almost every day, or else find himself being withered, weakened, and consumed by the Dark Side as punishment for his failure. If you wondered why Dark Side Masters always end up so physically deformed and hideous, that's why. So yeah, the Dark Siders look cool with their red lightsabers and their black hooded robes and their freaky yellow eyes--but they are more miserable and lost than you could imagine. Every morning they wake up, they have to deal with the fact that every living thing they see, including themselves, is just an item on the Dark Side's menu--and they're the chef, and it's time to start preparing dinner.
  • That depends on what kind of person you are. A kind, gentle person who doesn't necessarily enjoy hurting others would probably find a Jedi life alot more tolerable. But if you don't mind sacrificing some or all of your humanity for raw power, then you may as well go over to the dark side.
  • i say dark side..lol im a dark person in rl,so ill go with that.
  • well, they are both about the same but if I were a Jedi,I would study both sides and be a Grey Jedi(neither good nor bad)
  • JEDI!!!!
  • I'll go with dark side of the force. I beleive in order rather than harmony.
