  • Well that's true... but did you ever try to get a cat to eat a carrot?
  • I have seen vegetarians bringing up their cats and dogs with a vegetarian diet. Concessions made to include eggs and milk. I have found the pets doing excellently without eating any meat. True animal lovers must follow this example.
  • A little bit. If you asked an actual vegetarian, they'd probably say that animals instinctively eat meat, but humans can consciously chooose not to eat it. But I've heard of pets thriving on vegetarian diets. My family has a dog that eats fruit and vegetables, and he's very healthy.
  • Well, you could say they were kind because they were not imposing their beliefs on others, even if it is their cats.
  • I say if they love the little rabbits so much, stop eating all of their food. Seriously. Hypocrisy, no. Perhaps they understand that animals like dogs and cats ARE OMNIVORES. JUST LIKE HUMANS. In fact, cats are the closest thing to a carnivore that I can think of. They need little veggies and their diet ought to be comprised of mostly meat. Humans cannot live long healthy lives with out B12. A vitamin that comes from meat.
  • Absolutely not. People do not NEED meat in order to be healthy. Our bodies can get all the nutrients that we need from a vegetarian diet. Many animals have to have meat as the largest part of their diet, and could not live healthfully as vegetarians. While there are people that do keep animals that are carnivores by nature on a vegetarian diet, it is not the natural thing for the animal. I can understand why people do it though. I have a huge variety of pets, and they all eat the most species correct, nutrient diet I can give them. I have no qualms about feeding meat to my carnivorous pets.
