  • why is it scary?
  • I think it's not particularly scary.
  • Oh right. As long as we have a decent service, what's the problem? And why on earth is it scary?
  • I think that 80% of all statistics are made-up on the spot. I wouldn't say that that statistic alone tells us anything other than the fact that maybe more people are giving birth to girls. There are other statistics to consider as well. Like what percentage of those females will become stay-at-home moms. Either way, I wouldn't concider it a "scary thought", though.
  • i dont think its scary, but i think us guys gotta step up to the odds and overcome them to make it even again
  • Why is it scary. As long as there's good doctors I couldn't give a monkey's if they're male, female or hermaphrodite dwarves- just make me better alright?
  • Why is the thought scary if they are good doctors, or are good at whichever profession they choose Girls have always got better examination marks than boys and if you guys are worried about female academic domination there is an answer. 'Pull your socks up and work harder!'
  • Since everyone else has already asked "why is it scary?", I will ask instead - why do you assume that the figure will continue to rise from 60%? I see no reason to assume this; there is no inevitable progression towards having 100% women in higher education and zero men. When a question gets more questions thrown back at it than it gets answers then that should tell the questioner something about the quality of their question.
  • lol, well first of all, i don't think it's a scary thought. all of my doctors are female doctors and they are all ranked the highest in my city. the majority of teachers are females. i think the unique and wonderful thing about females is their ability to take on more than one thing at a time while still remaining compasionate and EMPATHETIC. it doesn't matter what genitalia you have, what matters is who can get the job done and who can do it best, it has nothing to do with gender. it's about time that an "oppressed" group rises up to the top instead of just complaining about it. we should all have the same opportunities no matter what's between our legs or what color skin we have.
  • It is just that a man came in talking to us at school about going to university and he showed us the figures of males and females attending university for the last 10 years and each year there has been more women studying and less men going. I was just supposing that if this trend continues there will be a lot of well educated women and fewer men, meaning there wil be a shift in the jobs market!
