  • I am not sure about this specific company, but I can tell you what many companies do. If you want to be sure about Rural King then you should probably ask someone else who works there if they were tested when they were hired. Many companies ask if you would be willing to take a drug test just to weed out people that answer "no." Even if they do have a drug testing policy, they might only send you for a drug test in the event that you injure yourself or that they suspect you are using drugs. Don't let this influence you pursuing this job. Surely, you can stay clean long enough to pass a drug test. If you feel that you can't do that, you should still go through the interview process, and wait to see if they send you to be tested. You can always tell them you have taken another job and simply not go get tested. Of course, if they have a random drug testing policy they might spring drug tests on random employees every month or so. In that case your only option would be to quit using drugs or risk being fired from the job.
